Dr. Kiran M Vaidya is associated with Karnatak Health Institute (KHI) Ghataprabha , he was served as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). He holds qualification in Orthopedics, including Diploma in Orthopedics (D.Ortho) and a Master of Surgery (M.S) and he has done very good administrator work for the institution.

 

Dr. GHANASHYAM M VAIDYA 
Ex-CMO of KHI

(1982-2024)

Dr. Ghanashyam M Vaidya was a distinguished Indian surgeon and medical educator, renowned for his significant contributions to healthcare and medical training. He served as Joint CMO and CMO at the Karnatak Health institute Ghataprabha.

Dr. G. M. Vaidya completed his MBBS and MS degree at the King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital Mumbai. Later he joined his family in Karnataka to further his medical career.

He was widely recognized his “Cassette Clinics” a series of educational videos aimed at enhancing clinical skill of Medical students and practitioners. In addition to this he authored “General Practice:  A Practical Manual,” now its 6th edition.  This comprehensive guide provides protocol for ICU. 

His legacy continues through his educational contributes and the many healthcare professionals he inspired.

 

 

WORLD HEALTH DAY -2026

(Together for Health, Stand with Science)

On the vocation of World Health Day 2026, celebrated every April 7, a grand awareness rally was organized in the college campus with enthusiastic participation from students, faculty and Principal.

This year’s theme, “Together for Health: Stand with Science,”

The rally was inaugurated by our institution CMO Dr. Swati G Vaidya, Principal, faculty members, who highlighted the significance of preventive healthcare and community participation. Students carried plash cards, with slogans promoting hygiene, balanced diet, regular exercise and mental well-being.the rally moved across the campus and nearby areas, spreading awareness among public about common health issues and the importance of early prevention.


Ideal Women of the Year

In a proud and inspiring movement, on 30/03/2026 at International Level Bengalore Dr. Swati G Vaidya Chief Medical Officer of Karnatak Health Institute Ghataprabha has been conferred the prestigious “ Ideal Woman of the Year” award by leading media houses- the Times of India , Vijay Karnataka and Bengalore Mirror- International Level in recognition of her exemplary service and dedication to society.

Dr. Swati.G.Vaidya was honoured for her outstanding contributions to Health Care, Education, and Community Services. Her journey stands as an inspiration to many aspiring professional and women striving to create meaningful change. She also made proud of her institution name. 

She also felicitated by the Institution chairman, board of members, entire K.H.I working staffs.
